Navigating Omni CMS

Your primary means of navigation through Omni CMS is 的 Main menu, found at 的 top of 的 screen.

的 Main menu contains 的 following items:

• 指示板: This will be your default start location when you’re logging into Omni CMS not via Direct编辑. It contains access to your workflow, OU inbox, 和 several informational gadgets.

• 内容: This is where you access web pages 和 o的r files.

• 报告: Run various reports about content 和 content status, such as which pages you published recently.

• 附加组件: Your administrator can configure additional links to go under 的 附加组件 menu. You may even have accessed this reference guide from 的re!

• 全球搜索 (magnifying glass icon): Use this feature to quickly find files 和 folders in your site.

指示板

的 指示板 menu has three options: 指示板, Workflow, 和 收件箱. On your dashboard, you can 视图 certain gadgets, such as your inbox 和 recent activity on pages you have access. Your inbox is where you can 视图 和 send messages through Omni CMS.

Workflow refers to 的 process in Omni CMS of sending files to o的r users for re视图 和 publication; we’ll cover that in a later section.

内容

的 内容 menu may have one, two, or three options, depending on your user permissions: 页面 will be available to everyone, 和 selecting this will take you to 的 页面列表视图, which gives you a list of 的 files 和 folders that make up your site. 一些用户 将会看到 资产, which gives you 的 ability to create 和 edit assets, which are a type of reusable content we’ll explain later on. Finally, if you have 的 ability to recycle pages, 你会看到 回收站.

报告

的 报告 menu has six different types of reports that you can run to ga的r information on your activity in Omni CMS. 的se reports are:

• Required Actions: Shows you pages that contain broken links.

• Checked Out 内容: Shows you pages that are currently checked out to you.

• Pending Approvals: Shows you pages that are waiting for your approval.

• Scheduled Actions: Shows you any actions (such as publishes or reminders) you have 稍后再做.

• Recent Saves: Shows you pages you saved recently.

• Recent Publishes: Shows you pages you published recently.

附加组件

的 附加组件 menu holds any links that your administrators have added into Omni CMS that 的y want you to have easy access to as you edit your website.

全球搜索

You can use global search to easily navigate around Omni CMS, no matter where you are in 的 system. Just click 的 magnifying glass icon 和 start typing. Omni CMS will show you files 和 folders whose name or content match your search.

页面列表视图

This is 的 main 视图 in Omni CMS where you’ll be working. From here, you can 视图 all 的 folders 和 pages that make up your website (as long as you have access to ). Clicking on 的 name of a file will take you to 编辑 mode; clicking 的 name of a folder will take you to 的 list 视图 of 的 content 在.

Additional functions include,

• 的 +新 button, which lets you create new content,

• 的 上传 button, which you can use to upload files, 和

• 的 filter bar, which you can use to filter or search for content.

Omni CMS uses a file structure system to both organize pages 和 to create 的 structure of 的 website itself. For example, a page in 的 University folder will have 的 URL of http://gf4zs.kgfascist.com/university/page.php.

的re are also two exp和able/collapsible regions on ei的r side of 的 页面 list 视图. On 的 left side is 的 file navigation sidebar, which displays 的 file structure of 的 website, allowing you to exp和 和 collapse folders without having to navigate 对他们来说. It can be a quick way to navigate through files. You can also drag a file or folder from 的 file navigation sidebar 和 drop it in a new location.

On 的 right-h和 side is 的 gadgets sidebar. Gadgets are little programs 在 Omni CMS that provide additional or streamlined functions. We’ll learn more about those in a fur的r section.
